Percent

"Percent" field is used to hold numerical values that are formatted as percents. It can be used for computation as well.

Values in "Percent" field will be asigned with "%" symbol after after being entered.

Common scenarios using "Percent" field are:

You can use "Percent" field to record discount in promotion activities. Moreover, you can combine "Percent" discount field with a field that records cost to compute your profit.

You can use "Percent" field to record the proportion of expenses.

To have a "Percent" field, you can double-click the field header and set "Percent" as the field type. You can also customize the field's details with following below instructions.

Precision​

You'll have option of selecting precision up to 4 decimal places.

Default value​

After setting a default value, a new record will be added with the default number entered.

Notes​

Similarly, only numerical content is allowed to be filled into the field, and text content will be automatically removed.

FAQs​

  • If I enter 0.1, the value in the field is 0.1% instead of 10%. Why?

  • Because "Percent" field recognizes the content of number itself rather than the content formatted as percent.
