Why can't AITable Merge Cells?

Merging cells is not supported by AITable due to its specific data structure.

Perhaps you will compare AITable's Grid View with Excel, and you will feel that both of them are tables composed of Rows and Fields. Therefore, AITable should be able to support the operation of merging cells as well.

Despite the fact that [Grid View] displays data in a tabular format, the data structure is entirely different from what is commonly found in spreadsheet programs. Instead, it's closer to that found in a database in the computer world. A row of a table is also called a record, and a record contains multiple fields.

AITable can perform functions far beyond ordinary tables based on this data structure, including cross-table reference field content, cross-table retrieval, cross-table statistics, rich field types ( Multi-select, Select, Rating ), and so on.

**Tips: A similar effect can be achieved by the view function 「Group」 **
